Dbanj’s ‘Verse’ On Kanye’s Cruel Summer Album Accredited With ‘Giving Hope’ To The Song

Since news broke of Dbanj’s feature in Kanye West’s Cruel Summer Album CD, a cross section  Nigerians have been throwing barbs in the singer’s direction claiming he didn’t get to sing properly on the song – whatever that means.

In a track that features about six other artistes, I don’t know what highly critical Nigerians were expecting from Dbanj. We forget too soon that he is just been gradually introduced into mainstream American music industry and sometimes, ‘little’ is just enough.
Well, according to Billboard’s (world’s premier music publication) ‘The Juice’ column, “The Morning” track on the Cruel Summer album featuring D’Banj, Raekwon, Common, CyHi the Prynce, Kid Cudi and Pusha T, it is D’Banj’s yelps of threats that surprisingly gives hope to “The Morning.”
Besides, while most of us are busy criticizing the Oliver Twist crooner, he is busy smiling to the bank and making songs that are receiving nominations in various music award shows
