Chris Brown admits he will always love his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran but thinks their relationship was more of a friendship
Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran will always be his “homie”.
The ‘Fine China’ singer – who dumped the model to reunite with
Rihanna last October – says he will always love Karrueche because she
supported him during the worst time of his life.
The 23-year-old R&B star, who is still on probation for violently
beating Rihanna in 2009, told The Breakfast Club on US radio station
Power 105.1 on Tuesday (02.04.13): “She was my friend through it all. It
was a friendship more than a relationship. I still love her, but at the
end of the day, it’s like I got love for her. She gone always be my
homie!”
He also said that they are still close and he wishes “all the best to
her. We still have a clothing line. I only want her to progress. I
don’t want to stop her blessings.”
But he admitted it would be tough to see the 24-year-old date another
celebrity, saying: “Yeah, that would be a little close to home. At the
end of the day I think it should be a respect boundary.”
Chris previously admitted he found it “difficult” to tell Karrueche
that he still loved Rihanna, 25, and insisted he did not intentionally
set out to be a “player” in the situation.
He said: “I’m not trying to be a player. It’s never an easy situation
to tell another person that you still love another person, so that’s
kinda difficult. But our friendship, me and Karrueche’s friendship, is
still cool. We’re still good friends.”
It was recently revealed that most of Chris’ new album ‘X’ is about Karruec
